Infrared Insights

'Infra' by Richard Mosse shows notoriously war-torn Congo in a different light. Mosse employed the use of an abandoned military infrared surveillance technology called Kodak Aerochrome, to shoot the war zone regions in Eastern Congo. The result, are these surreal images of a place that is so far removed from artistic persuasion; they leave me with feelings of both intrigue and discomfort.
